Job Description: Designer

Location: Concord, MA

Part-time, hours negotiable with option to become full-time

Meredith Rodday Design is an interior design firm located in Concord, MA specializing in a clean, sophisticated, and livable design aesthetic. MRD has experienced significant growth and is searching for a designer with previous ID experience who will work closely with Meredith, the principal designer, and support all aspects of design projects.

Responsibilities:

- Work independently, as well as collaborate with principal, to source products and specify furnishings, materials, fixtures, etc.

- Assist in development of design vision and schemes

- Assist in creation of design presentations and present ideas to clients in a clear and thoughtful manner

- Conduct site visits and modify schemes and plans as needed

- Maintain excellent relationships with vendors

- Coordinate with contractors and other trades

- Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years design experience in interior design firm

- Great multi-tasker and problem solver

- Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Understands and can embody the MRD design aesthetic

- Solid knowledge of SketchUp

- Familiar with web-based interior design project management software

- Self-starter with a positive. can-do attitude

- Experience with local design vendors

- Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel around Metrowest
